Dr. Berch Fritz is a licensed chiropractor with physical therapy privileges in Maryland. An Iowa native, Dr. Berch earned his doctorate from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. During his time at Palmer, he worked alongside Olympians in the school’s rehab department, prioritizing care and management of soft tissue injuries. Dr. Berch was selected from a pool of candidates across the U.S. to finish his clinical experience with an 8-month rotation in the pain management clinic at the Central Iowa VA Hospital in Des Moines. Here he cared for a wide range of complex conditions presented by our veterans, serving them and providing relief from their pain while assisting them in reaching their personal functional goals.

Prior to earning his doctorate, Dr. Berch attended Iowa State University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. During this time, he worked as a personal trainer helping clients to achieve their fitness goals. Dr. Berch firmly believes that everyone deserves a chance to experience optimal health and reach their individual goals. By combining his own athletic experience with his expertise gained at the VA, Dr. Berch is able to care for a wide variety of conditions, acute and chronic, and provide the specific treatment to most efficiently address your needs and empower you to live a happier and healthier life. Dr. Berch utilizes a functional, evidence-based approach to treatment. He will utilize diversified and flexion distraction manipulation techniques to address joint dysfunction as well as myofascial release, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, and cupping to care for soft tissues.

New to the East Coast, Dr. Berch has begun immersing himself in the many offerings of the area. During his free time, Dr. Berch can be found exploring the DMV area’s food and craft beer scene, enjoying the outdoors, and cheering for the Iowa State Cyclones.
